Mimi Holvast

Mimi Holvast is an Australian clothing designer who lovingly crafts each garment by hand in her Byron Bay studio. After completing her debut womenswear collection in 2014, Holvast approached me to art direct and photograph a campaign that would serve as a cornerstone for her brand's visual identity.

Inspired by Holovast’s celebration of the female form and strong connection to the natural landscape, I photographed and art directed a campaign set on the iconic cliffs at Royal National Park presenting a playful take on modern femininity. The striking natural landscape juxtaposed with the models’ lackadaisical poses and worn garments, highlight the wearability and functionality of Holvast’s designs.
